About Pat King
Looking for a counsellor?
- We all have times in our lives when it might be helpful to share our concerns with someone outside our situation.
- Perhaps you feel counselling could be helpful for you?
- I work with both individuals and couples, for an agreed, appropriate period of time which we will review regularly.
- The aim would be to enable you to enhance your life and your relationships, working within a supportive, trusting relationship.
- Our initial meeting consists of a free half hour assessment where we look at the issues concerning you and decide whether we would be comfortable working together.
- Following this would be a charged hour where we consider the direction and timescale for subsequent sessions and begin our work together.
- Our sessions will last for a minimum of one hour but I am able to offer flexibility and longer sessions if this would be helpful.
- Within that hour I will encourage and support you to gain a clear understanding of your present situation and consider possible ways of moving forward with your life.
- I work with a variety of approaches including CBT, utilizing whatever will work best for each individual client.
- I have a calm and positive temperament, and am committed to providing a high quality of service to clients.
- My Practice is in the centre of Ely, where I am able to provide a safe, relaxing and confidential atmosphere.
- I am within easy reach of the surrounding villages, and of Cambridge.
- I am close to the borders of Norfolk and Suffolk, 10 miles from Newmarket on the A142.
